When you donate to Urban Stable, you are donating to a well established registered charity (legal name The Horse Connection Inc.), that has been serving Winnipeg and the surrounding communities since 2001. Our programs have a proven track record of helping youth re-engage with their education, themselves and their community.

Urban Stable has partnered with CanadaHelps and Zeffy to make online giving secure and easy. If you wish to complete your donation offline print and complete the donation form  and mail it, along with your cheque, to our office.

Donate Securities and Mutual Funds

Make a bigger impact by donating securities and mutual funds – the most efficient way to give charitably! With a donation of securities or mutual funds, capital gains tax does not apply, allowing you to give more and get more.

CanadaHelps makes it simple for you to donate securities and mutual funds to Urban Stable. By donating shares directly, you get a larger tax credit and give more to Urban Stable, making a bigger impact. Learn more about donating securities and mutual funds.

In-Kind Donations

We accept in-kind donations of:

• Program equipment – see donation policy below
• Office equipment and supplies
• Time & expertise in an area that would benefit Urban Stable

Donation Policy for In-Kind Donations of Equipment:

• Items must be cleaned (and oiled if leather) before donating
• Items must be in good, usable condition (no excessive wearing, holes, etc.)
• Please send pictures of items you are wanting to donate by email
• Urban Stable may decline the donation of items
• Urban Stable will determine fair market value for donated items and issue a tax receipt accordingly
• If items are in good condition, but Urban Stable is unable to use them in the program they may be sold by Urban Stable with the proceeds going directly back to support Urban Stable’s programs
• Donations must be dropped off to the Urban Stable office or program location at a time that suits Urban Stable as well as the donor
• We cannot accept riding helmets as a donation
